Why Do We Need Supplements?

What Is (PCOS) and How Can Hormone Optimization Help With Treatment?

All of these can be symptoms of a very common condition called P.C.O.S. — Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome — that affects millions of women, many of whom have never been properly diagnosed.
Polycystic ovary syndrome is a condition in which there is an imbalance of a woman’s female sex hormones. This hormone imbalance may cause changes in the menstrual cycle, skin changes, small ovarian cysts, trouble getting pregnant and other problems.
Female sex hormones include estrogen and progesterone, as well as hormones called androgens. Androgens, often called “male hormones,” are also present in women, but in different amounts.
Hormones help regulate the normal development of eggs in the ovaries during each menstrual cycle. PCOS is related to an imbalance in these female sex hormones. Too much androgen hormone is made, along with changes in other hormone levels.
Among the hormones that will be assessed during the optimization program are: estrogen, progesterone, FSH, LH, testosterone and others. Other blood tests that may be done include: serum HCG, prolactin levels, fasting glucose, lipid levels and thyroid function.
Through an analysis of all of these metrics, an individualized plan will be developed to bring hormones to optimized and balanced levels.
How Does Hormone Therapy Affect ED and Loss of Sex Drive in Men?
Because the symptoms of low testosterone are often subtle and similar to those caused by other medical conditions, low testosterone often goes untreated. Fatigue or low energy, increased irritability or depression, a decrease in sex drive and Erectile Dysfunction are not normal signs of aging, but are often conditions that result when the body is unable to produce sufficient quantities of testosterone.
Testosterone is an important male hormone produced mainly in the testicles. While testosterone helps the body develop male characteristics during puberty, it also plays a central role in maintaining healthy sexual function, energy, mood, and body composition in adult males.

Health and fitness has always been important to me and I have always tried to stay active by biking, running and regular exercise. Since I’ve started the hormone optimization , I’ve experiences some AWESOME changes, and I’m just a month into it…first off, I have lots more strength and stamina during my workouts (running 5 miles , and weights)….used to be where I would just BARELY make it over 2 miles, NOW, my strength kicks in AT 2 miles and is neverending! I finish my 5 mile run stronger than I started!
Another major difference is my daily energy level.
